Federal judge in Texas halts medication abortion pill

BREAKING (source: AP News) –A federal judge in Texas has ordered a hold on mifepristone. The Justice Department has seven days to appeal the judge's stay, and it is likely that the government will swiftly appeal.

This is very much a developing story. CNN reports that hours after the Texas judge halted the approval of the medication abortion pill, a second federal judge said it must remain on the market in at least 12 states.
