SB518

Oklahoma is one of 26 states where citizens can enact changes in state law through ballot initiatives, or initiative petitions.

Initiative petitions are protected by the Oklahoma Constitution, allowing the PEOPLE to introduce an issue for a vote. It's not easy to do, but it can be done.

Now this process is under direct threat by SB518, which just passed in the OK Senate. This unnecessary bill aims to make it HARDER and MORE COSTLY for people to bring ballot initiatives to a vote. We're following this closely.
